I am a clinical psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and neuropsychological evaluations. I have extensive training in multiple therapeutic techniques, including CBT, ACT, attachment based therapies, and mindfulness. By integrating these different modalities, I can personalize treatment for you and help you achieve maximum benefit. I also have specialized training in cognitive assessment and working with individuals with ADHD, executive functioning challenging, or other cognitive concerns.
I enjoy working with relationships and relational problems, self-esteem and self-hate, trauma and recovery, identity concerns (including but not limited to sexuality, diversity in gender, atheists and other types of secular individuals), and veterans. I also have worked in a VA CBOC outpatient clinic and have an extensive history of work with young adults (specifically in collegiate mental health). I utilize a collaborative approach grounded in interpersonal process. My theory of practice is guided by the needs of the client, using a mix of cognitive and psychodynamic theories alongside elements of feminist and relational theories. I have experience working within varied mental health settings, including veterans and interdisciplinary treatment teams. Lets work together and begin to figure out the answers to the questions and struggles you face. I welcome clients of all ages, all backgrounds, all identities. My practice is affirming of all genders, all sexual orientations, all ethnic identities, all religious identities, and inclusive and welcoming of all intersections therein.

I work with individuals struggling with life transitions, relationship problems, anxiety and other painful emotions. I have over 10 years of experience treating adolescents and adults and everyone in between. Working with students and aspiring young professionals is a population I'm passionate about working with. I strive to empower clients through developing greater self-awareness, acceptance and motivation to accomplish their goals. Therapy is a powerful tool that anyone can benefit from when the courage and motivation is present and I believe should be accessible to all. I work with students and launching young adults on a sliding scale rate to prevent cost from being an automatic barrier to seeking support or trying counseling for the first time.

I work with adolescents (12+) and young adult women who are struggling with perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, and relational difficulties. They are often adjusting to major life transitions such as relationship changes, switching schools, and/or changing jobs. Together, we will explore how these experiences impact your sense of self and help you build confidence, set boundaries, and find balance in the midst of change. I offer a trauma-informed, person-centered approach using evidence-based methods like CBT, gestalt, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I am trained in Trauma Focused-CBT at the Medical University of South Carolina. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel truly heard and understood. Getting started with therapy can feel like a big step and that’s totally normal. But reaching out is also a really brave move. Whether you’re ready to dive in or just exploring the idea, feel free to reach out. I’d be honored to support you and walk alongside you in whatever you're going through. You matter. You’re not in this alone.
As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) at Mindset Psychology, I am committed to helping individuals navigate through difficult emotions, develop healthy coping mechanisms, improve self-esteem, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of the individuals I work with feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, or are struggling with the various challenges of navigating college life. I strongly believe in a collaborative therapeutic process between therapist and client, where I work alongside my clients to build resiliency, explore challenges, and identify strengths and strategies to overcome obstacles.
In working with my clients, I strive to help them find a healthy balance in every part of their lives; whether it is work, relationships or health. Finding a balance is important. Balance does not allow one area in our lives to become too extreme, pulling all of our focus. In session we will develop personalized strategies that can help you feel more in control, making your concerns feel more manageable. Once we work together to find that balance in your daily life, you are able to live at your happy, healthy baseline. You begin to thrive.
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of your purpose in life? Are you hurt and unsure if you are ready to move on, but just can’t seem to uncover a new path? Some people just need someone to listen, get their experience, and understand how life is for them. You may have tried the same old things, which don’t seem to be working anymore. It’s often hard to ask for help, and seems a bit strange if you haven't been to therapy before. I focus on your strengths and listen with non-judgmental empathy, compassion, and understanding. I sit with you and bring my knowledge and experience in helping you gain awareness and undergo profound shifts in the way you think, feel, act. I know you want to find meaning in your life and relationships, and live boldly. Real change happens by means of: growing strengths, ensuring self-care, increasing mindfulness, developing coping skills, healing the past, and living a life you love. Give me a call or email if you would like to work together.

Who would you be if you believed you actually could? If you knew you already are? My approach to therapy centers on the belief that “healing is making whole.” Whether dealing with issues of addiction, depression and anxiety, self-knowledge and self-worth, sexual orientation and gender identity, trauma or relationship concerns, life transitions attention is, therefore, given to the whole of the individual – heart, mind, body and soul. So many of us feel stuck, repeating patterns of behavior we consciously experience a desire to let go of. What keeps us doing what we believe we don’t want to do is that we are disconnected from the places within us where our actions come from. In my work with clients I care most about helping others uncover their truth – without judgment. I see psychotherapy as an invitation and permission to reveal, explore and practice embodying the wholeness of who we are, in order to develop a greater sense of fullness, choice and empowerment in our lives. And I very much see psychotherapy as a partnership and a journey, one which I am repeatedly humbled and grateful to be allowed to accompany others on. In addition, as a certified yoga instructor, the teachings of classical yoga inform my psychotherapy work with both individuals and couples. Yoga ‘on the mat’ may be a possible element of our work for interested clients, but more often this takes the form of our exploring how to live and practice the principles of yoga ‘off the mat.’

I am a clinical psychologist and sub-specialize in couples and family therapy. I help couples and individuals deal with a variety of issues that may be interfering with relationships such as depression, anxiety, infidelity, poor communication, constant fighting, lack of motivation, or feelings of disconnection. My goal as a therapist is to give my clients the tools to achieve the kind of control that lets them be in charge. This is the only true path to a happy and fulfilling relationship. I also help parents deal with children who may be unmotivated, anxious, depressed, or oppositional. I believe parents need to be strategic with troubled children. Sessions focus on empowering parents with tools to reduce parent-child power struggles, stop self-defeating behavior and improve self-esteem and motivation to succeed. Clients leave my office having a clear idea of what they need to do to improve their circumstances. I aim to achieve positive change in the briefest time possible. You've worked so hard to get where you are. Hours and hours in the library, in the gym, in the practice studio. You care about excellence. But all that pressure you put on yourself, wanting to be perfect and for everyone to love you? It's wearing you out. Stress, anxiety, constant thoughts zooming through your head. I'm glad you're here, and I hope I can help. I've been helping people just like you for almost two decades. People who have been super successful but also super stressed, anxious and sad. I am committed to treating the whole you, which means that an important step to feeling better is to look at all the parts of your life (physical health, relationships, work, self-care) and how those parts of your life are affecting how you feel and how you act. When you feel well emotionally, physically, and socially; your quality of life can genuinely improve. I hope to work with any of you who feel "stuck" in your lives; who are struggling with anxiety, stress, perfectionism, or body image. I have a particular specialization in working with athletes of all levels; professional, collegiate, and recreational. As a former collegiate volleyball and softball player, I understand that athletic performance incorporates so much more than physical training. I work with athletes who are struggling with anxiety, confidence, focus, or team dynamics. Additionally, I see athletes after they have experienced some major event in their athletic lives; such as acute and chronic injuries, pain, illness, or physical changes with aging. Athletes also struggle frequently with eating concerns and body image. Therapy is teamwork--we will develop a plan and goals that work for you to live your healthiest life!
