This can be seen in many forms; excessive preoccupation, holding on the “idea” of perfectionism or distortion of reality. These patterns of thinking can leave you feeling stuck, on autopilot or frozen. It can be incredibly liberating to identify these patterns in a place of non-judgement HOLSTIC APPROACH: Learning to connect with your body and mind and listening to your needs is part of the holistic healing process Healing can have great impact on our emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. I’m Dr. Persefoni Andronikos-Cox, PsyD, NCSP, a MA licensed psychologist. I work with young adults and adults who are navigating academic, personal, and emotional challenges. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered strategies. I enjoy helping others identify their strengths in order to foster their continued growth. Life can be filled with a wide range of emotions and challenges. I have experience supporting individuals as they navigate life transitions, academic stress, anxiety, depression, or difficulties with motivation and focus. I can also support others who are exploring their identity and values. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process memories, thoughts and feelings. There are long, lost fears and often past traumas at play in all of us. Some surface, wreaking havoc with our lives. They can appear as grief, depression, anxiety or crisis. Others remain dormant and can surface at all the wrong times. You may appear successful, but despite your accomplishments, you are not happy or it seems like others are happier than you. Your personal relationships are not satisfying in the way you expect. Why is happiness still elusive? We can dislodge what is blocking your best life and guide you to a healthier self. We will guide you to new understandings, new behaviors and new ways of being that will lead you to a happier self. You can reduce the anxiety and depression. You can disarm the trauma and grief that has made the days so uncomfortable. I provide a safe, empathetic environment for change. Call to book an appointment or consultation.
For nearly 15 years, I worked as a high school teacher, advisor, dean, and administrator. Working with adolescents was fun, rewarding, and dynamic. As a social worker, I have worked in college settings, residential substance use treatment, and a community mental health clinic. I have significant clinical experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use, and specialize in working with adolescents, college students and emerging adults. I bring a particular appreciation for the stage of life between childhood and full adulthood, an understanding of the pressures of this age range, and a wealth of experience helping people navigate the challenges of growing up. I feel comfortable working with people of all identities and backgrounds. I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults, Jewish and other faith communities, and older adults. I strive to be culturally competent and curious as I learn about another person. I believe everyone needs to be heard and helped regardless of religion, creed, or political beliefs.

I enjoy working with college and graduate students and have had many students from the colleges in Boston and the surrounding areas. I assess and treat those struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, relationship issues, social anxiety, and weight issues. My husband is a Taiwanese immigrant and as a mother of a biracial child I am familiar with acculturation and identity struggles. I've worked in multiple weight and pediatric/adolescent clinics and many of the Boston hospitals, as well as UMASS Medical Center Worcester, and often get the feedback that clients like that I'm specific with my feedback and suggestions and don't just nod my head. Well I know human behavior, you know you best, and working together I enjoy seeing my clients lives change and being a part of their growth.
I help folks get unstuck by using strategies and conserving their energy as best they can. Sometimes all the insight in the world doesn't change your life. I use various behavior therapies so we can understand how and why you tick AND come up with tangible steps towards the life you’ve always wanted. Virtual evening skills groups! I offer virtual DBT skills groups for adults including: young adults, mixed ages and all genders, women only and men only. Generally the folks I work with struggle with high sensitivity, perfectionism, and mild/moderate depression and anxiety symptoms. Most of the folks I work with use the psychoeducational group to enhance the individual healing work they are already doing. The group adds structure and accountability to practicing evidence based coping strategies to better manage moods, identify triggers, improve relationships/communication and overall stress management techniques.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and received my MSW from Boston University. I worked in community mental health prior to coming to Rasi Associates. Individuals, couples or families I counsel are motivated to reach their potential, build a healthy and meaningful life and make a positive impact. I help people who have had some success in but struggle with anxiety, stress, ambivalence, fear, conflict or difficult relationships is holding them back. Couples I work with want a thriving relationship but struggle with communication, deeper connection, shared reality or intimacy. Families want harmony but struggle with conflict, disconnection and/or a member with a mental/physical health problem.
As a licensed social worker, I specialize in helping individuals, both adolescents and adults, navigate the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower my clients to manage their symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and to feel more comfortable with the inevitable discomfort and uncertainty that humans face daily. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their struggles. I believe in a holistic approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the whole person. I also value open communication, so I encourage feedback throughout our work together to ensure we are on the right path. I am passionate about this work because I truly believe that with the right tools and support, everyone has the ability to live a value-based life. I love seeing my clients develop a better understanding of their strengths and learn to live with uncertainty. It is amazing to me how much bigger the world can seem when we are not constrained by our fears.
