I work with older teens and young adults who are typically struggling with more than one thing that leads to feeling really big emotions. A common co-occurrence is ADHD/Anxiety, but it could be any combination - mood disorder and autism, social anxiety and feeling angry all the time...having more than one thing at a time makes it more difficult to figure out what to do about those big emotions, which is where I come in. I help figure out what's going on, what are some tools that can help those emotions, and how you can start recognizing when that surge of emotion is coming before it becomes unmanageable.

I have daytime and evening openings on most weekdays! I approach therapy holistically and use an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. My work is grounded in the belief that we all possess innate strengths that can guide us toward healing. Together, we will work to uncover your strengths and create pathways toward greater well-being. We have a couple dogs in the office and I am always happy to incorporate animal-assisted therapy into my work! Some of my other approaches include CBT, DBT, existential psychology, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based therapy, meditation, body-oriented psychotherapy, and spirituality. We can work together to find a course of therapy that works best for you, at your own pace.
My approach to treatment is to create a space that is supportive and empathetic so that the client will be in a place to build rapport, explore issues that are interfering with their quality of life, and develop a better sense of goals and the means to reach them. I operate from a Strength-based and Cognitive-behavioral therapy lens with elements of other modalities. I am a strong believer in using mindfulness when approaching issues like anxiety and depression. I see the client as a person affected by the systems that make up their lives. I understand the importance of family work as a part of the process of helping an individual. The most important aspect of treatment is the relationship between the therapist and the client. Without trust, it is impossible to get any real work done. When you walk into my office you can expect a space that is free of judgment and completely client-centered.

I specialize in treating eating disorders and body image, and I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, relationship problems, life transitions, stress, and addiction.
