Therapists for college students near 02467
I enjoy working with a wide variety of college students, individuals grieving pet loss, and those in technical fields throughout Massachusetts, given my own background as a software engineer. I also specialize in working with individuals on the autism spectrum, including neurodivergent adults. My approach comes from a strengths based perspective. I believe that individuals have the ability to make significant life changes by identifying the sources of their current difficulties, understanding why their coping methods may have made good sense at the time, and learning new ways of being in the world that fit with who they are now and that support their growth and heart's desire. My role is to provide a supportive, trust-based environment and help individuals create the lives they wish to live. I use a largely psychodynamic perspective, often integrating mindfulness and cognitive behavioral approaches. I'm interested in research areas of positive psychology, the neurobiology of connection, adaptive solitude, therapeutic journal writing, and the role of nutrition and fitness on mood, mental health, and well-being. I look forward to meeting you!

Are you in college, a young adult, or navigating a major life transition and feeling like everyone else got a manual for this stage of life, that you somehow missed? Maybe you're questioning who you are, what you want, or where you’re headed. You might feel stuck between family expectations and who you're becoming, or you're feeling pressure to "figure it all out", as you balance school, work, and relationships. I specialize in working with young adults navigating identity development, exploring sexuality and gender, relationship challenges and life transitions. You don’t have to have everything clearly defined before starting therapy. You might just know that something feels off, that you’re stressed, disconnected, unsure, or not living fully as yourself. Therapy can be a space to slow down, untangle competing expectations, and build clarity and confidence. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I aim to create a space where you feel understood, not judged. Together, we’ll build on your existing strengths and develop concrete tools and greater insight to help you grow into a more confident, self-trusting version of yourself. If you’re ready for support, I’d be honored to connect.
Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, upsetting intrusive thoughts, or past emotional wounds that continue to affect their relationships, confidence, and sense of safety. They are ready for relief, connection, and to feel more in control of their lives. I help clients by providing specialized treatments for anxiety conditions, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), perfectionism, and the deep echoes of trauma—from relational and intergenerational wounds to betrayal trauma. I believe therapy can help us grow, even through deep pain. My role is to help you approach yourself with curiosity and compassion while guiding you toward healing and meaningful change. If this feels like the right fit for you then let's connect.
While I work with folks on a range of issues, I specialize in the treatment of disordered eating, eating disorders, body image disturbance, and disengagement from diet culture. I am a non-diet mental health clinician and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor practicing from within the Health at Every Size paradigm. Having lived experience of an eating disorder myself, I believe that full recovery is possible. I work with clients to establish trust in their bodies, and discover a relationship with food that is joyful and free. I look forward to connecting!
**Weekday, Evening and Weekend Appointments Available** **Now seeing clients in Massachusetts and New Mexico** Are you caught up in a seemingly endless cycle of addiction to alcohol or drugs? Well, I have good news and bad news for you. Let’s start with the bad news: it takes significant effort to stop addictive behaviors, and to address the underlying emotional or trauma issues that compel you to relapse over and over again. There’s no magic wand, no Abracadabra. Now the good news: The cycle doesn’t have to be endless. Recovery is possible! I have 25 years experience working in the addictions and mental health treatment field--in settings ranging from group homes to treatment centers. I authored a workbook on Mindfulness-Based Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. I also specialize in teaching coping skills for trauma and emotions that tend to drive us back to our addictive behaviors. My approach is eclectic, client-centered, empathic, and goal-directed. I can help you chart a path to sobriety and wellness, and to begin to address the underlying reasons behind self-defeating behaviors or troubling emotions in the here and now. I offer virtual appointments.
Throughout my career I have successfully treated people with symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD. I enjoy the collaboration with other treating providers such as psychotherapists and primary care providers in maximizing the benefits of psychopharmacological treatment. I am committed to high standards of care following the latest clinical research. While anxiety disorders and mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder) have been the focus of my practice, do not hesitate to contact me if you feel I can help you. I have an extensive experience in multiple behavioral health settings where I treated conditions such as PTSD, ADHD, and other mental health disorders. People of all backgrounds are welcome to my practice. Tele-medicine psychopharmacology only. I do not take insurance, self-pay only.

Sometimes we don’t have anyway of knowing what we’ve been through until it’s over. Recognizing things that were harmful to us sometimes cannot happen until we are no longer in survival mode. Dealing with overwhelming thoughts, depression, anxiety, or the overwhelming emotions that can come in waves is a significant thing to have to handle. This can lead to people struggling to handle life, and even consider ending it. At Inverted Dawn, we specifically work with people who’ve reached that point where things have gotten so bad, nothing seems to make sense anymore. What we offer is a supportive, non-judgmental approach to help explore where you are at, how you’ve been coping with it, and what a tomorrow that is worth living for would truly look like.

While we may not always have control over all aspects of our lives, we have control over how we choose to react, how we make meaning of our situation, and most importantly how we grow from the challenges presented to us. I work with adults throughout the lifespan, from young adults to older adults, in an individual and group therapy setting. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, life transitions, and navigating relationships. I love working with clients who recognize the need for change in their lives and are motivated to work towards bettering their relationship with themselves and others. I utilize both psychodynamic (how the past influences the present) and interpersonal approaches (how relational patterns impact psychological well-being) to therapy. In addition, I also borrow from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/Mindfulness to help build healthy coping strategies. I do not believe in a one size fits all therapy, but I do believe in two necessary factors: hope and a strong therapeutic relationship. Hope ignites the courage to take the first step towards change and the therapeutic relationship is the vessel in which the journey towards change takes place.
Hi, I'm Andi (pronouns: she/they). I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Washington and Massachusetts, and I have been practicing since 2010. Therapy with me is fluid, and involves a mixture of deep processing and more structured skill building. I specialize in supporting adults from a trauma-informed, culturally-responsive, somatic, social justice and Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective, and am intimately aware of the particular challenges of Asian Americans, marginalized groups and the immigrant experience. I provide a relatable, compassionate and open space, where you can explore all aspects of yourself, and feel heard, seen and known. I believe we all have the innate capacity to heal and transform. Therapy with me is holistic - engaging your mind, body, emotions and spirit - focusing on concrete skills and strategies for tangible relief in your day to day, as well as deep understanding and establishing a greater sense of self, ease and freedom to “just be”. Thank you for considering me as a potential support in your journey. I'm happy to answer any questions you have in a free 15-minute consultation.
