Life is full of transitions, some of our own choosing, others imposed upon us. The challenges involved in life altering experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming and therefore catalysts for common symptoms of anxiety and depression. This is when therapy can be especially helpful. I view the therapeutic relationship as similar to canoeing - it requires you to provide the steering, while I supply the momentum, and motivation and commitment from both of us to get to the destination.
