We specialize in providing trauma, sex, body and LGBTQIA+ affirmative psychotherapy to those who feel lost and unsatisfied, and want a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. We're here to help you slow down, sort through the pressure, and figure out how the hell to take care of yourself and go after the life you want while remaining true to who you are. It doesn’t have to be so hard. We are not distant, blank faced analysts, but instead are responsive and collaborative in our approach. Together, we will untangle the knots created by anxiety, depression, trauma, family, eating, and relationship problems that leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, and your emotions.
College is this interesting time of transition where you are given an opportunity to explore independence away from your parents, hometown, and all that feels comfortable. But for many, this independence and freedom can be lonely, confusing and downright uncomfortable. You may feel like you are not cut out to succeed in such a high pressure environment. Decisions can seem overwhelming. Am I in the right major? What internship should I choose? Should I study abroad? Do I need to take a semester off? How do I manage my money? The pressure to perform academically can be intense and feel overwhelming. Picking a major, choosing classes, second guessing your decisions, and simply managing time and assignments can feel insurmountable. If you previously struggled with time management or organization, you may find your safety net is now far away and now your grades are suffering. I have worked with many students just like you. I work to treat a range on issues that get in the way of optimal academic performance - from depression to anxiety to ADHD. I further specialize in working with students who are also parents. Parenting young children while working towards your degree is no small feat. Pregnancy and/or postpartum during graduate school is challenging but together we can get through it. CW Psychological Service specializes in treating individuals, couples and families, and through years of experience. We are confident that no problem is too great to overcome. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both right now and in the future. Throughout our years of practice, we have worked as therapists and evaluators in a variety of levels of care such as nursing homes, intensive outpatient programs, community-based programs, community mental health, and forensic settings. We work closely with individuals to build a collaborative and trusting relationship in order to provide compassion, safety, security, and a solution to their problems. It is both a pleasure and honor for us to assist clients in regaining a sense of hope and control in their lives by identifying the deeper causes of what may be holding you back and give you tools to move forward. Some areas of concern for clients we serve are emotion regulation, depression, anxiety, anger, LGBTQA+, recovery support, and trauma.
At Truth Center for Health and Healing we've learned the importance of the connection with ourselves and the relationships around us. Often times, feelings of depression, anxiety, and difficulties within relationships are triggered from previous experiences/ traumas that cause us to be “stuck” in unhealthy patterns of living. We believe in connecting with each client through exploring their current living patterns that have them in unhealthy relationships, making poor decisions and/or struggling to maintain daily living. We work collaboratively with clients to empower them to create new patterns in their relationships and in life to get “unstuck”. We believe once you have been able to explore your past relationships/traumas, you will be able to begin healing from past hurts, connect more with your authentic self and feel empowered to work towards improving your current and future relationships.
I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field a little over 10 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to seek counseling and I appreciate the courage my clients display by doing so. I hope to support and provide encouragement as we begin this process together. I believe that every individual has the ability to overcome struggles and learn how to highlight their strengths that they may not even be aware they have! I look forward to working with you! "You're Braver than you believe. Stronger than you seem. and Smarter than you think." - A.A. Milne
I believe therapy is meant to be a collaborative process between client and therapist. As such, clients create goals for themselves while therapist are present to assist them in reaching their goals. I strive to create an environment which is affirming and comfortable yet also expect I will challenge clients in their assumptions regarding thoughts, behaviors, and interpersonal interactions. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities in my practice, tailoring therapy to the individual client(s) I am serving. I regularly use humor and self disclosure, as a way to increase therapeutic relationship, when appropriate. I have worked in social services and mental health for over 15 years. I began my career as a Resident Advisor and by volunteering on hotlines while in college. I then transitioned to working as a milieu therapist with children. Following completion of my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, I worked with families struggling with transitions, relationship conflict, and child behavioral/mental health concerns as a mobile family therapist. While working as a mobile therapist, I received additionally training in Eco-Systemic Family Therapy through the Philadelphia Child and Family Training Therapy program. I am one of a few male Certified Sex Therapist, certified through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, with offices in Philadelphia and Media. I work with couples and individuals. I specialize in working with LGBTQ inidividuals. My areas of speciality include, people seeking to understand their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I work with gay and lesbian couples who are navigating both traditional couple dynamics as well as issues specific to being a part of a same-sex couple. I have worked with clients in traditional and non-traditional relationship dynamics, including open and polyamorous relationships. Additionally, I often work with people attempting to work through sexual dysfunctions or concerns. I enjoy working with male identified clients as I often find they are not generally given the latitude to be emotionally expressive and doing so with another male can be very affirming. My rate is $175 for individual sessions and $200.00 for couples. Sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration.

Therapy can be an intimidating journey, and getting started can often feel overwhelming. My hope is to build a therapeutic relationship that feels open, trusting, and supportive, so we can really focus on the challenges that have brought you to this point. Navigating young adulthood can be exhilarating and exciting, but can also lead to fear, worry, and challenges related to leaving home, taking on new roles, and learning about the world in a new way. Sometimes this transition can be hard as you figure out and learn about the different parts of yourself in emerging adulthood. I am excited to walk alongside you as you take this new step towards growth and healing. I believe my clients are experts on their lived experience. I believe my clients deserve trauma informed, inclusive, and affirming care.
Do you experience racing thoughts, anxiety or depression? Are you feeling lonely, overwhelmed or unfulfilled? Creating change can be an uncomfortable process, and it can help to have someone accompany you on your journey to a more authentic life. I work best with adults who are ready to engage in the sometimes challenging but deeply rewarding process of personal growth and healing. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, or co-occurring disorders, and are seeking meaningful change in their lives. I also have a strong understanding of the unique pressures faced by healthcare professionals and experience providing care for those involved with the Pennsylvania Nurse Peer Assistance Program (PNAP). I specialize in treating dual diagnosis and and I have specific experience working with substance use/chemical addictions and chronic health conditions. CBT and ACT are my primary modalities, however they are not the only interventions I use. Whatever interventions are used, the ideal outcome is to create sustainable, healthy change for individuals. I especially value working with individuals who are open to exploring their experiences, who may feel stuck but are willing to reflect, grow, and lean into their strengths. If you're looking for a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative space to sort through life’s complexities, we may be a good fit.

Supporting individuals, couples and families through life’s complex phases by providing a safe, compassionate space to explore their feelings and build resilience, using a grounded, present-focused approach to foster healing and growth. I maintain a special interest in supporting men through societal expectations that discourage emotional vulnerability, leaving many to cope silently with stress, isolation, or unresolved pain. Additionally, I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents and their families where they face mounting pressures from social media, academic demands, shifting family dynamics, and global uncertainty. Many struggle to make sense of their identity, emotions, and relationships in the midst of constant stimulation and comparison.
