Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, dating challenges, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with college students seeking clarity, peace, and confidence—whether you're adjusting to campus life, preparing for the future, or feeling emotionally stuck and alone. Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012. My early work focused on adolescents and families affected by substance use, but I found my sweet spot working with young adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and identity development. Whether you're facing college anxiety, academic pressure, or relationship concerns, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can process emotions and grow at your own pace. Therapy with me is relaxed, empowering, and rooted in real-life support. Healing isn’t instant, but it starts with being open, heard, and supported. Let’s take that first step—together.
Have been looking for love in all the wrong places? Maybe you are super tired of swiping right but only ending up hurt. Is your anxiety at an all time high? Do you find it hard to concentrate on the things you have to do or find yourself reading the same line over and over again. What about that voice in your head? The one that says you are never good enough. You keep trying to shut it up by performing, being perfect, and overachieving but nothing seems to work. You try and make everyone happy by never saying no, but you are just left holding the bag, feeling resentful. What if I told you, that you could stop hustling. That you are worthy of love and belonging, right now, as is. I know you call BS but that is your past tricking you into believing you aren't. You can put down the mask. You can learn to say no. You can feel safe in relationships. Instead of feeling empty, you can feel alive. Hell, maybe even some joy. I love working with young people who want to stop being so hard on themselves, want to stop hustling for love in all the wrong places, stop surviving on little sleep, Cheetos, and weed to being able to have healthy relationships while saying no, taking actual care of themselves, and know they are worthy. It's not about me, it's about you becoming the best you that you can be, overcoming whatever has been holding you back, and pursuing your dreams. If you're really interested in me though... I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 31 years of experience in social services (14 years as an LPC), find fulfillment in helping others to become fulfilled, am a happily married father of two (boy and a girl), enjoy playing music, am a lifelong learner, and have benefited from the exposure gained by traveling the world. My career has been varied and broad. I have helped young people find their path, adults define their purpose, and older souls examine transitions. My professional practice has included extensive experience treating people with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities), TBI (traumatic brain injuries) and other conditions; but more importantly, I am here to listen! No matter where a person is in life, my goal is to help those that I serve to fulfill their potential! I base my practice on an integrative approach which uses tools drawn from sources such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, REBT, Multi-Modal Therapy, Mindfulness, and other useful "classical" orientations. These techniques are incorporated and organized within a framework (general orientation) of Positive Psychology. In other words, I use proven, evidence-based therapies to help you to fulfill your potential!

My name is Bintou Schoen and I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background working with people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, psychosis, social anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship problems, etc. I received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. I then attended the Medical College of Georgia where I obtained my medical degree. After that, I received my psychiatric training at the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida. I perform psychiatric evaluations and formulate treatment plans with input from my patients - no single approach is right for every individual. I very much like a positive and practical approach to mental health treatment including medication management and therapy. I think it is important to find balance in your life and it starts with improving self-esteem and good self care. I like a person centered approach meaning finding solutions that work for you based on your values and priorities.
Hello! My name is Madeline & I specialize in ADHD, grief work, & women's issues around anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, & work-life balance. In my work with young and adult women (16+), I've found that through modeling genuine self-acceptance and self-compassion (instead of just talking about how important it is), my clients are more receptive to extending the same grace & kindness they give to others to themselves. Because I strongly emphasize authenticity in the work that I do, I show up to each session exactly as I am. Human. While I share therapeutically relevant experiences, anecdotes and thoughts often, they are always done with intention and care. I believe that it is incredibly difficult to form a meaningful connection with another person if the relationship is entirely one-sided. I've found that my approach to therapy differs in that I like to use a lot humor in sessions - both dark and light - which definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay! I am also unapologetically myself, and some days that looks a bit different than others. I'd be wasting my time and yours if I pretended to be someone I'm not or that some days weren't messy, chaotic garbage for me, too. Pretending is not conducive to connection, and I believe my approach to therapy is a testament to that fact. The therapeutic relationship is the bedrock of any therapy success story. I strive to connect to each of my clients on a deep and meaningful level by remaining authentic, genuine, and honest. I provide sincere feedback, offer many skills that can be used outside of sessions, and equip clients with the tools they need to be successful and resilient when life feels like it's just too much. While some issues may be very solution-focused and direct, others may take time. The space I offer is not only safe and nonjudgmental, it is also patient. I will sit with you in the hurt, the pain, the loss, the ache, the hopelessness, and the chaos. I will sit with you knowing that there is an end in sight, and will hold your hand as we find our way out of that darkness together.
