As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), I specialize in helping individuals who’ve experienced emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. I also support first responders managing job-related stress and trauma. My approach focuses on coping strategies, emotional healing, and improving well-being for those impacted by trauma and workplace challenges. I provide a warm, professional, and respectful environment where we will explore the concerns that brought you to therapy. We will work together to develop a coherent narrative of what is working and not working in your life, and draw on my experience and training to cultivate the insights, tools, and resources to create positive change. I work with adolescents and adults on a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, identity questions, concerns about substance use, and life transitions; young adults struggling to thrive socially or academically; and the impact of learning disabilities on social and emotional functioning. My approach to therapy is informed by training and experience in traditional dynamic psychotherapy, CBT, attachment theory, executive function coaching and mindfulness techniques. I also have a deep interest in using findings in neuroscience to inform our understanding of various problems of living.

My approach is behavioral; we will work together towards specific goals in a proactive manner. Clients describe me as gentle, humorous, understanding, and change-oriented. I have extensive experience treating eating disorders and anxiety disorders. I practice using an evidence-based treatment model called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model, which utilizes mindfulness, cognitive interventions, exposure techniques, and movement towards goals and values. Meaghan is a clinical social worker and has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Meaghan has worked in a variety of settings such as schools, residential programs, and community mental health. She has experience in working with individuals impacted by depression, anxiety, trauma, and the challenges that can come from transitions in life. Meaghan enjoys helping individuals identify their strengths and building upon those strengths to improve functioning and balance in client’s lives. In clinical practice, Meaghan believes in a trauma-informed approach and creating an environment where clients can feel safe and secure. While meeting clients where they are at, she utilizes client focused modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Meaghan attended Springfield College for undergraduate and graduate school receiving a Bachelors in Sociology, Minor in Youth Development, and a Masters in Social Work.
