I work collaboratively with students who face a variety of challenges, including life transitions, relationship issues, and navigating queer identities. College and graduate school typically occur at pivotal developmental points for people in terms of figuring out who they are, what they want, and separating/individuating from parental figures. Together, we will work to understand your inner life, what works and what doesn't in terms of your thinking, behavior and ways of relating to others. Often, patterns develop that help us stay safe and secure when we're young, but would benefit from re-examination and modification to live a more fulfilling adult life. I have a sub-specialty working with people with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), a highly distressing fixation on a perceived appearance defect that can impact daily functioning and quality of life. I help you understand where the appearance fixation originated, including negative self appraisals and rituals/compulsions that accompany BDD. Learning to face feared and avoided situations is a gradual process that takes place over time, freeing you from the hold of BDD and leading to improved functioning and a more satisfying life.
My name is Nicole... I am an independently licensed clinical social worker in Massachusetts. I have 16 years of mental health experience and have worked with individuals across the lifespan. I enjoy working with individuals in their teen years and upward. Each individual‘s needs are different and tailored as such in sessions. Therapy approaches include CBT and a strength based approach. I aim to offer a comfortable and safe space to talk about and heal from the difficult things that may lead an individual to therapy. Sessions are structured around individual's emotional needs and helping people find their path in life. This is a virtual practice and I aim to provide flexibility in scheduling to meet my client's busy lives! Reach out to discuss available appointments! I look forward to speaking with you!
Whether you are at a crossroads in your life, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or sensing your life is not what it could be, help is available. As helpers, we are committed to meeting you exactly where you are by using our collection of professional tools to assist you to reach your highest potential through connection to your “true” self, the part of you who is waiting to be rediscovered and made manifest. Our orientation as therapists combines our understanding of human development, psychology, and behavioral change with wisdom and practice that is woven through most spiritual traditions. You need not consider yourself a spiritual person, nor do we insist on a particular belief system. This is only to say that our orientation integrates this awareness as an element of healing. Our ultimate goal is to empower you to free yourself from the patterns that keep you from fully thriving and to help you create the life you want to be living. It is an act of courage, not weakness, to allow others to help you.

I will be seeing clients in person in Pittsburgh starting in August 2023. I can see clients in Massachusetts via telehealth but I am not accepting any telehealth clients at this time.
Hello! My name is Angela, and I am glad you are here! College can be a stressful time for a lot of people, so if you are feeling overwhelmed or just in need of some support, you are not alone. You can expect a casual, welcoming environment in our sessions, where you can show up authentically, no matter what life has thrown your way that week! Sessions take place via telehealth, and I am licensed in both NJ and MA. I take some insurances through Headway, and can provide superbills for those with out of network benefits.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by, it’s great to connect with you. I'm a musician/creative pursuing my Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Music Therapy at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I see clients in Massachusetts via Telehealth at a low-cost (the rate of your insurance co-pay). My training has prepared me to work with a wide range of issues, like anxiety, depression, grief, and major life changes. Topics I'm passionate about include LGBTQ+ issues, spirituality/faith transitions, and posttraumatic growth. I'm excited to share my knowledge with you and create a space together that best supports your growth and healing. I take an experiential and embodied approach to my work. This means that, in addition to talking, I offer other clinical methods to help support you, such as Music Therapy. I also like to infuse my work with an element of creativity and play, when appropriate. My goal is that you leave each session feeling supported to keep moving forward. If anything has resonated with you, I look forward to connecting! It would be a pleasure and honor to support you through this stage of your journey. You're not in this alone, and together, we can do some great work.
Our group psychotherapy practice offers help with anxiety, depression, relationships, sleep (including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), eating disorders, body image, grief, addiction, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Our clients tend to be people who are successful in many ways and feel overwhelmed, lost, alone, or in need of some self-esteem building. We particularly love working with college students because by nature they are figuring out who they are and want to be, and the work we do together can be such an important and exciting part of that process. We welcome people from all backgrounds and are LGBTQ+-affirming. Please feel free to reach out - we would love to get to know you!
