I aim to create a safe space for you to bring your whole self to therapy. I have been often told that there is a presence about me that makes folks feel understood. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT to help you understand and respond to your emotions so that you feel less overwhelmed and more free. I specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and eating disorders. We will also work together to increase mindfulness and self-compassion. As a member of the LGBT community, I have a special expertise in serving LGBTQ clients as well as poly and kink communities. Whether you are navigating a complicated political climate, reducing shame and growing in pride and self-acceptance, or exploring new pronouns or identity labels, I will be with you all the way!
Things haven’t turned out exactly as you planned. Whether that’s in your relationships, at school, or just - overall life trajectory. You feel frustrated running into the same problems and don’t know how to move forward. Does any of this sound familiar? I certainly understand what it’s like to feel out of control but I assure you that reaching out for help is a significant step to lasting change. As a clinician, I provide a supportive yet scientifically informed space to confront life's issues. My treatment approach involves collaboration: the formation of a team requiring both the expertise of the therapist and the client. No one knows you better than you. And as a team, we will work together to discover the solutions that best fit your needs. It takes courage to ask for help. I respect that and would be honored to be apart of your journey. Hi there! My name is Cory Bedtke, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2015, and started my career as a school social worker prior to switching over to clinical work with adults. While this may seem like a big transition, it's funny how similar our problems are at the different stages of life. Currently, I enjoy working with clients in young and middle adulthood who would like to feel less stressed and anxious, improve their mood, work on communication, and feel more secure in their relationships. I also work with folks who want to process and find ways to cope with traumatic experiences. College can be an amazingly wonderful but also daunting time, so I am here to help you navigate the challenges that you face.
Areas of Expertise I help adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, substance use, life transitions, and relationship struggles. My approach combines CBT, ACT, DBT, and Self-Compassion Therapy, tailored to each client's goals. My Approach Clients often tell me they appreciate my direct yet compassionate style. I challenge people in a kind, honest way to face what's not working and take real steps toward growth, healing, or acceptance. How I Can Help As a recovering perfectionist, I’ve learned that fulfillment doesn’t come from doing everything “right,” but from living in alignment with what truly matters. I help clients clarify their values, build self-awareness, and take meaningful steps toward lives that feel authentic and sustainable, not just what’s expected. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to support you.

Clients who experience the most benefit while working me are those who seek therapy because they are feeling stuck, like they've been living out a script that keeps repeating itself, and who want to make progress moving forward. If you've noticed dynamics within your family or in your past that keep repeating in your relationships, at work, or as barriers to your goals, then my therapeutic approach may be a helpful intervention. If you live in East Tennessee, we have the option of taking our session's outdoors for nature-based therapy and animal-assisted therapy. And if you are in South Carolina, we can meet online and may even be able to incorporate the horses via video! However we meet, I look forward to exploring your past with you to make sense of the present, for the possibility of a better future.

Hello! My name is Stacey Shine. Do you feel like you just aren't where you used to be in life? I like to work with clients to get them back to their best level of functioning. My goal in therapy is to essentially work myself out of a job. I want to empower you to tackle whatever obstacles you are facing. In time - you won't need me! Therapy with me is very personalized. I like to make it fit whoever my client is. Sometimes therapy is traditional talk therapy while other times it can include art or movement. I think each person has a unique set of needs and my goal is to try and meet those needs as best as I can.

I have been crossing lines of different cultures and expectations for my whole life, and helping others to do so too. My best work is with helping people manage borderline symptoms, depression/anxiety, "oppositional-defiant" behavior, and/or ADHD. I care a lot about strong foundations in the original ideas of the different treatment modalities I use, like CBT, ACT, or DBT (the original "lore," if you will). At the same time, I'm always looking for connections to the various stories and narratives my clients find meaningful in your own everyday lives, whether it's from anime, the Bible, historical figures, or any mix.
