Hi, my name is Johnathon, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montana-Billings. I have extensive experience working with individuals, families, and in group settings where people faced concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, stress management, and relationship challenges. My hope is that you'll leave our sessions with not only practical tools, but also a deeper sense of self-acceptance and compassion. You'll be equipped to prioritize your own well-being with intentional self-care, and feel a genuine sense of hope and optimism for what's ahead.
I am an APRN, PMHNP-BC providing virtual psychiatric care across Texas for adolescents, college students, and adults. I work with students navigating stress, academic pressure, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and major life transitions. I also have specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry and family-focused care, including adoption-related dynamics. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, focusing on what’s actually affecting your day-to-day life and school experience. I combine medication management with practical, skills-based strategies like motivational interviewing, DBT skills, ACT, and interpersonal therapy to help you feel more steady, focused, and supported.
I’m Dewanna Lewis, a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Therapy With Dewanna, dedicated to supporting young adults as they navigate one of life’s most transformative seasons. College brings growth, independence, and opportunity — but it can also come with stress, identity exploration, academic pressure, and major life transitions. My approach focuses on helping students build emotional resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and develop practical tools that support both personal and academic success. I’m honored to partner with Thriving Camp to help students feel grounded, confident, and equipped to thrive far beyond their college years.
After graduating in 2013 from the University of Houston - Clear Lake from the Marriage and Family Therapy program, I worked in the non-profit sector offering therapy services to both children and adults in the Houston area. I also have experience working in a school setting, and have a passion for working with teens and young adults. I am fully bilingual in both English and Spanish, and I am trained in different treatment modalities to help tackle problems with trauma, anxiety, and adjustment.

If you're trying to break unhealthy patterns in your life—whether they are things you've learned from your family or habits you’ve noticed in how you treat yourself and others—you’re in the right place. As two first-generation Latina therapists, we understand how hard it can be to figure out what’s not working in your life and try to change it, especially if going to therapy isn't something that's normalized within your family or community. We know that the path you are on can feel isolated and overwhelming. Which is why we created Sin Miedo Counseling - to support cycle-breakers like you. We offer counseling that is warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental so you can feel that you have someone who has your back while you work towards the change you want to see in your life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or down, we can help by offering strategies to help you regulate your nervous system and challenge that inner critic who is telling you that you don't deserve joy or rest in your life. If you're nervous about starting counseling, that's okay. We got you and we'd be honored to join you in your journey.
